Get to know Shelley
Shelley began her finance career in asset management, working with mission-based investment organizations focused on generating financial returns and positive social impact. She later transitioned to investment banking, holding roles at Lazard and Nomura Securities from 2017 to 2021. During her time as an investment banker, Shelley advised on a variety of M&A transactions and provided ongoing coverage support across industrials, healthcare and consumer & retail sectors.
Prior to her banking roles, Shelley earned her MBA from Columbia University, where she completed the rigorous Value Investing Program, a selective track offering advanced training in fundamental analysis and investment valuation. She subsequently served as an instructor for summer business courses at Columbia.
Shelley started as an instructor for Training The Street in 2026. She previously supported the delivery of professional finance training programs as a teaching assistant in 2018 and again from 2024.
Shelley has passed all three levels of the CFA exams and meets the experience required for the CFA designation.
