Gavin Ryan draws upon this real direct experience to give private equity and venture capital trainings that are very much applied to reality and which result in attendees developing actionable skills in the topic. He has been conducting trainings since 2000.

Gavin has twenty five years’ experience as an emerging markets mid cap private equity fund manager and private equity expert in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Funds managed include a renewable energy asset manager with €2.5bn under management, a Soros Fund Management $200m Emerging Europe equity fund which generated a return of 40%, and an Advent International $30m CEE country fund.

Gavin works as an advisor to developmental institutions, PE funds and Limited Partners. He specializes in helping develop and strengthen GP operations. He also acts as a Non Executive Director and has served on the Boards of several companies and banks.

He is currently working for various major financial institutions as an expert consultant, specializing in private equity globally, assisting in setting up new fund manager firms in Emerging Markets.

His previous fifteen years of professional experience includes HSBC Investment Bank, the British Foreign Office, Nomura International and PwC.
