Get to know Mark

Mark is based in the UK and has been an instructor since 2010, specialising in financial markets and covering everything from the simple cash products up to the complexities of exotics and structured products, and all points in between. Mark’s teaching has spanned school leavers to CEOs, regional banks to central banks, day traders to hedge fund managers.

As a trader, Mark spent 10 years as a market maker of vanilla and exotic options across both FX and Interest Rate markets. As a consultant, Mark has worked with corporate treasuries, banks, and law firms, on projects ranging from the management of financial risk to the analysis of trading patterns in legal and regulatory investigations, appearing in court as an expert witness in the process.

As an instructor, Mark brings all his experience to the classroom where the focus is on intuitive understanding, breaking down complex concepts and developing real-world understanding. Minimal maths, maximal practical application; all delivered in a patient, engaging and enthusiastic style, emanating from a genuine love of both the subject matter and the art of teaching.
