Get to know Saul

Saul has lectured on the undergraduate and postgraduate Property Studies programmes at the University of Cape Town (UCT) since 2012. He teaches financial mathematics, real estate feasibility analysis, real estate finance, sustainability in real estate, and valuation.

His educational style is underpinned by first principles, where he informs students that they must “earn the right to automate”. Furthermore, Saul has conducted training for corporate real estate companies and individual practitioners, both in-person and remotely.

Saul is the director of the Urban Real Estate Research Unit (URERU), based at UCT. URERU conducts real estate research and consulting in conjunction with their industry partners to produce academic papers and industry reports.
