Get to know Ashish

Ashish joined TTS in 2025 after spending several years in higher education at the University of Chicago and the University of New Haven. Prior to his move into higher education, Ashish worked for over 25 years in the financial services industry, the last 12 as cofounding partner of a $1.5 billion hedge fund Manikay Partners, where he focused on fixed income trading with a focus on high yield and distressed debt, as well as special situations equities trading.

Combining with his experience in both research & trading at firms such as UBS, Whippoorwill Associates and CRT Capital, he worked on complex restructurings as well as unique investing opportunities across the capital structure in a diverse range of industries, including Industrials, Healthcare, Telecommunications, Retail, Gaming, and Technology.
