Matt joined TTS in 2022 after a varied career in the fintech, venture capital, and emergency management spaces. He graduated summa cum laude from UNC Charlotte with a degree in finance and minors in economics and political science before pursuing a career designing and managing the production of fintech products at Paymentus. He has also worked in venture capital in investor relations and capital raising capacity for startup VC Sweater Ventures.

During the pandemic, he worked in emergency management for the city of Los Angeles. He explored his passion for teaching while training whitewater raft guides and instructing whitewater boat operations for police and fire departments. As a teacher, Matt takes a hands-on and practical approach to skill development, while simultaneously fostering a forum for open discussion and questions to facilitate deeper learning.
