Kapil joined Training The Street in 2025 and has held roles across investment banking, private equity and investor portfolio companies. Kapil’s professional experience spans the US, Middle East, India and Asia.

He began his investment banking career as an Associate at Bank of America in the Healthcare group in New York, executing M&A, LBO as well as debt and equity financing transactions. He subsequently transitioned to the buy-side with Istithmar Capital, a UAE sovereign fund with $15B in management, where he spent 6 years covering buyout and growth equity investments in North America. Kapil also spent 5 years with PE and VC portfolio companies including as Corporate Development Director at GEMS Education, a UAE-headquartered global chain of K-12 schools and later as a Managing Director (GTM lead) at CredAble, an India-based, fintech start-up providing trade financing to enterprise supply chains.

Kapil’s training expertise covers foundational topics such as valuation, M&A, LBO, financial modelling, accounting and MS Excel as well as a variety of modules specifically focused towards PE and VC professionals. Kapil is passionate about teaching and frequently uses open ended questions, analogies and anecdotes to engage learners. Having lived and worked across continents, he thrives in connecting with learners from diverse cultures fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
