Get to know Alex

Alex began his investment banking career in 2001 as a financial analyst at Houlihan Lokey where he focused on restructurings, distressed M&A and corporate valuations. Subsequently, Alex moved to Nomura Securities as an associate and worked on cross border M&A transactions between Japan and the U.S. with clients including NTT Docomo, Nissin Foods and Hoya. Following Nomura, Alex worked at Tri-Artisan Partners on Leveraged Buyout transactions involving Toy R Us and TBC corporation. Since 2006, he has founded three businesses including Alexander West, an e-commerce retail company, Dos Owls, an electronics hardware design and manufacturer, and small2Big, a SaaS company focusing on the retail software industry.
