David joined Training The Street in 2021. He started his career in finance at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey (STRH), a regional corporate and investment bank now part of Truist Securities, where he focused on credit and debt underwriting for various leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, and recapitalizations. Since leaving STRH, David has also held various roles in data analysis and business intelligence reporting in private wealth management at SunTrust Bank and in corporate finance at The Home Depot where he utilized advanced Excel techniques to manipulate, analyze, and report data. He also previously served in the U.S. Navy in military intelligence where he reported on highly technical information of strategic and tactical importance to fleet commanders and national intelligence agencies. In this role, David developed a passion for teaching and mentoring junior sailors. David spent several years living abroad in Asia and speaks both Mandarin Chinese and Korean.
